My friend who doesn't have an SDN account wanted me to ask a question on his behalf. He coached a variety of basketball teams for around 500 hours in various locations, but for his contact just put the one person who was part of the location he coached the most with? Is that ok?

Ideally, he'd add a Contact for each team he coached, with the first in the header (most recent/most hours-doesn't matter) and the others in the narrative space.

Unless he puts it in the Hobbies category, which needs no Contact.

That is what I advised him to do a few weeks ago, but he already submitted on Friday and like a stereotypical neurotic premed is freaking out rn.

I told him to just maybe provide the other contacts for the other teams to the person he wrote down on the application and that they can refer the adcoms to them in case they call to verify? Do you think that is good advice?

That is reasonable advice that should settle his "freaking out" tendencies, as it gives him something productive to do.
