So I haven't heard directly from the program I matched at (besides a casual congrats by a current resident). Is it expected that I contact say, the program director, to say hi and I'm excited and all that jazz?

Oddly enough I also haven't heard from my intern program either...

Should I just wait until they contact me?

It's common to have a lull between contact after match day (I didn't hear from my internship program until nearly a month later)

That being said, if you wanted to, I don't think it would be a problem to send a concise email to your programs to express your excitement

I haven't heard from the program I matched at either and was also thinking of emailing them. Maybe they were all busy at the AAD meeting....

I did hear from my prelim program already, and already had to put in vacation requests, etc.
