I've read a few posts here and there on here about the content breakdown of the Step 2 CK, but no definitive answers have been made. Is the answer out there somewhere?? Does anybody know for sure??

Here's the content breakdown for the USMLE World Q-Bank:
IM: 63%
Peds: 14%
Ob/gyn: 9%
Surg: 7%
Psych: 7%

Here's the content breakdown for the Kaplan Q-Bank:
IM: 44%
"Other" (Derm, EM, Neuro, Ophtho, Rads): 18%
Peds: 11%
Surg: 10%
Ob-gyn: 9%
Psych: 7%

There's a huge discrepancy here on the IM content breakdown- 63% versus 44%.

I don't know the content breakdown of the other Q-Banks (USMLERx, etc.).

HOWEVER, what is the ACTUAL Step 2 CK breakdown??

This is important because it affects how I distribute my study time. I don't want to spend nearly 2/3 of my study time on IM, and relatively neglect the other subjects, if IM actually is only 1/4 or 1/3 or even 1/2 of the exam.

Thanks for anyone's information!!

its impossible to give you an exact percentage breakdown, but suffice it to say that the most of the test is geared towards IM.

The COMLEX has a breakdown like this. Also take the COMSAE for a detailed score feedback. Every exam is different. Some may have a lot of ob/peds and some may have a lot of IM/surgery.
