Continuing Review at Buffalo?

Hey,

So I just got an email informing me that Buffalo has placed my application in "continuing review." I'm guessing this means I've been passed on for an interview but I'm a little confused. I got a 27 total science and a 25 academic average on the DAT and my GPA is 3.74 with a 3.75 in science at Rutgers New Brunswick. Does anyone know if this really means I've been wait listed???

Wow, those stats and no interview? Did you have any ec's or job shadowing? I don't think you could write a personal statement bad enough to keep you out

GPA and DAT only count for so much. If the rest of your app is bad, then even high GPA and DAT may result in such status..

are you out of state applicant? Did you have a poor PAT? Risky personal statement?

i was placed on continuing review today.. 24AA 26TS 20PA 3.6+ GPAs. What did I do wrongggggggggggggg 🙁

People- this does not mean that you will not get an interview, it simply means they set your application aside as someone they will continually reconsider for an interview. Yes, your stats are good, but there are other things that go into offering interviews as well.

Mine was put on Continuing Review, when i called She said your application is complete and everything is fine. However, the admission committee could not reach a conclusion about your app. She said this means they need more time to review it and will review it periodically.

I also asked is it because i am OOS ? and she said no it has nothing to do with that.

I think they just keep these "continuing for review" apps for after Dec 1st deadline, in order to see how many of the candidates they interviewed will accept their offers.
That's just what i think though, not necessarily true

My status has been "received/under review" for over a month now. :/

Same with Creighton and Louisville.

With those stats, even if your entire PS was "I like dentistry period.", u will still get an interview. However, I think buffalo is a bit different, if you don't impress your interviewers, they might not accept you, they relay on the interview pretty heavily

The thing is, I'm good at interviewing. If they would only give me a chance I think I could win them over!!!!
