How valuable is contract research organization (like Covance) summer clinical research internship experience? My Sophomore son won't be able to do it this summer since he already committed to an exchange research program(at an European university) for upcoming summer. Is it worth pursuing for summer after junior year (while working on the applications)? He is expecting his current computational research to lead to a first author publication by end of Sophomore year. He already has one publication (5th author) and hoping for one more as 3rd author (from his high school research projects) besides his current research.
