Control rx transferring

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Does anyone know if a control prescription can be transferred multiple times between pharmacies from the same chain in Texas? Thanks.

If they share the same computer database across the chain, yes. Only one time if not a shared database.

It concerns me sometimes what these students are taught in school.

This isn't taught in school. It's learned on one's own by reading the DEA Manual and the local state pharmacy laws and rules.

So they dropped law completely now in school?

Law was like a 1 or 2 credit class and it wasn't very in depth. It was very basic; just enough so you didn't embarrass yourself completely on rotations.

If you wanted to pass the MPJE, you learned it yourself (the school was pretty clear this was the case and we didn't have a lot of failures on the MPJE, though you would have failed without self study). It's not hard to learn on your own though.

Our law class did an excellent job of covering the basics, but memorization is meaningless without being able to know how to apply it.

OP probably never worked as an intern

You shouldn't have to study, that's the whole point of school and paying today's ridiculous tuitions.

Do all new grads feel this way, that law didn't cover enough to pass?

I'm sure it depends on the school. It didn't take very long to study on my own. School can't possibly teach you everything you'll ever need to know; they teach you how to learn.
