Hey guys, I was thinking that after calling AADSAS, my own registrar, and individual dental schools and not finding an answer, that maybe you fellow sdn'ers would know. I am filling out the credits attempted in the courses completed section of the application, but my university uses a full course equivalent credit system, so 0.5 Full Course Equivalent credit equals one course per semester. Thus I have 5 FCE in one year by taking 10 courses. I cannot put 0.5 credits attempted as AADSAS said they had no idea how to convert it! I am thinking one course should equal 3 credits since most schools require 90 credit hours and that is equivalent to 3 years of university/college. So a genetics lecture with 150 minute lectures and 3 hours of lab each week would equal out to 3 credits? I was hoping to see what you guys think? Thanks

yes

your estimates seem good to me, but as a reference here's how my undergrad suggests u convert. we had a similar credit schematic as yours, just slightly different...chem lecture was 1 cu, chem lab was .5 cu, bio lecture/lab was 1.5cu, and physics lecture/lab was 1.5cu. it tells u aadsas conversions for each.

it's in the middle of page 5 of the pdf doc, under "conversion of course units."
