I will be doing an away rotation at the Cook County ED in July. I was curious if anyone knows what the dress code is for 4th-year medical students...scrubs? dress pants? tie? If I don't have to pack all of my dress clothes, it would be nice to know that before getting down there. Thanks!

Everyone seems to wear scrubs.

The medical students wear scrubs. The lectures/conferences are informal and you can wear whatever you want to them. No shirt and tie.

True.... I think I was the only med student that never wore scrubs EVER... I always dressed professionally, however, this has obvious disadvantages... especially when things get 'messy' I would wear black pants if I were you LOL

If u want to do well on your rotation be extreemly enthusiastic, always volunteer to do ANY procedure! and do your own blood draws!

good luck
