Hi

I am an IMG and interested in Pathology residency in the United States. I have some experience of path in my country Jordan.

I hear that Cook County hospital is very very very IMG friendly, but I also hear that the working conditions there are terrible especially in pathology. Is this true?
I hear all resident on pathology program in cook county are foreign graduate mainly from china with borderline USMLE score? There are no US graduate on program.

I to have an interview for pathology but understand that program has problems with the ACGME and some residents have left the program in recent years because it is so terrible.

Also has this program been cancelled by the ACGME? So no longer possible to work there.

Has anyone any information on this program. ACGME status etc??

I hear that they fire resident for not passing USMLE step 3, and you have to work like dog in gross room so can not for study for step 3.

Any information grateful to receive.

Cook County is on probation and apparently they lost it because they are not included on the NRMP list of Illinois programs. Even if they didn't, you should stay away from this program.
