How much hand-eye coordination is needed for radonc? Thanks!

less than surgery, but more than IM.

id say if you are handy with a mouse/computer you would be ok.

May need some more coordination with brachytherapy (placing prostate seeds under ultrasound guidance, placing needles/cathethers intraoperatively during a sarcoma resection, placing cathethers/needles during a head and neck implant, tandem and ovoids, etc.)

yeah but brachy makes up less than 5-10% of all of radiotherapy volume in modern centers. plus, even brachy isnt that complicated (technically speaking)...

You don't have to have excellent hand-eye coordination, but you do need to have some ability. You need to be able to contour volumes accurately. You need to have enough coordination to do the brachytherapy component of your residency. If you don't have the level of coordination needed to be good at brachytherapy, it will not be hard to find a job where you don't have to do it ever again.

I think if you can draw inside the lines of a coloring book youre ok.

For what it is worth, my better half is, shall we say, less than gifted in the hand/eye coordination department and I've never her complain about difficulty in either contouring or brachy.
