Just wondering who put VCU on top of the list of dental schools they would most like to attend.

VCU shares the top spot for me along with Loma Linda. If I get accepted to both, it will be a tough decision.

I also had VCU at the top of my list, I love Richmond and the state of Virginia and I have only heard positive things about the school and its faculty. BUT alas, they don't seem to want to contact me! My app has been "complete" there for some time, too.

My aadsas stuff was turned in a long time ago, I feel I have decent stats, and I've already had 5 other interviews and invites....does anyone know what gives?😕

I'm still waiting on VCU and my AADSAS went in on Aug 4. I've heard from 7 of the 9 schools so far... you think they would hurry their asses up!! Other one is U.Penn, I called today and they said my app is still under review. Hmm...

one thing that i liked about vcu is, if i choose to specialize in ortho there, the state pays the tuition for that. i don't know what it is like at other schools, but i thought that was cool.

I heard a rumor that went like this. If you are one of the top 5 in your class, that is the only way you would have even an ok shot at ortho. Interestingly, I know a dentist up here who has been in practice for about 25 years now and he decided to finish up in ortho. I think everything is complete for him next year. That's kinda cool.

I'll go ahead and ditto the fact that I haven't heard a word! From what I know VCU would be a great school...it would be nice to have an interview thats for sure 😀 Congrats to everybody that has gotten the invite- I hope good news for your on Dec 1st!

I haven't heard anything from them either. I called and the lady was pretty short and said they'll still be reviewing application for interview consideration until February. I guess it's just a waiting game now.

haha nope sorry...im visiting friday w/ my school's pre-dent club...you have your interview thurs? if so, good luck👍

VCU is by far the best I've seen. Great facilities and supportive faculty.

As for their acceptances, they are sending out some on Dec. 1st, and then again in January. If you've already had an interview but don't get anything next week, don't worry because you may get accepted the next round.
