Howdy all--thanks for everyones opinions they really do help. I think it is very insightful to see what others think.
So on that note....what about Cornell? Here is my dilemma..when I was there I loved it. I thought the residents were awesome, a ton came to the social and then the ones I did not meet at the social I met the next day during breakfast or lunch. It really felt like they truely were going out of their way to introduce themselves. I also really like the program director and just in general had a good vibe that day.
BUT, I have heard many negative things about the program, that it is malignant and the residents are NOT happy. I also do not like that they do not have any medicine rotations...they have gotten rid of all of them since ACOG released the new guidelines. They also do not have elective time which would make research for a potential fellowship hard.
Just thought I would see what you all think and make sure I am not liking the program just because of the cool subsidized housing and the fact that my brother lives in NYC and it would be cool to be near him. I didn't like Columbia at all and still have NYU coming up.
So....any opinions?
