Correlation between grades and DAT score

It sound obvious but I want to see how strongly grades are tied to the scores for the DAT. Obviously an A in a course will give you a good shot a scoring high, but to what extent is this true?

In my opinion, there is a relative correlation:

If someone got all A' in his science courses 2 years ago, and took the DAT without studying for it, then that individual will probably not do well as oppose to if he took the DAT 2 years ago. This is then becomes a weak correlation.

Time is a BIG factor.

How about taking the DAT after completing the coursework? Any difference between an A and B?

If you got A/B in a science course recently.... that gives you an advantage, and probably have a better chance of doing well, than someone who took science courses while ago. But, thats just my opinion.

I agree with Mo, when the info is still fresh in your head, after taking a course, you're better at it than if you waited a couple of years. The longer you don't use info you learned in the course, the more it declines.

Sort of like aging🙄
But if you took time consideration out, and did a comparison between somebody who got B/C vs A what scores do they get on average for both? Or is this very dependent on each individual case? Just trying to find out if there is a pattern aside from the general "higher grade gets higher score".

I got mostly B's in Chemistry, O-chem, and Biology, but I managed to get 20's on the DAT in these sections. And I've been accepted to six great schools!

If there is a correlation, I think it would be more to the individual interests or preferences that allow them to score higher. This is not clear. There are people such as myself who like chemistry and organic but hate English (never read a book for pleasure in my life). My grades reflect this. A in Organic chem. 1, A in O-chem 2, A in G chem. 1 and B in G-chem. 2, A B A in Bio A B C. Now English C and C. I scored 27 O chem., 25 G-chem. 22 bio, and 18 RC. I have always been a science-oriented persons and everything reflects this.
