Ok, so I know that some medical schools require LORs from all your PIs. I worked with a grad student in a lab as part of a research program... the grad student was pretty much the only person I worked with; I never met his mentor (the lab PI). My research project was a branch off my grad student's dissertation, so I ended up working exclusively with him and then on my own. Now I need an LOR. He said he would be happy to write one, but was wondering who should sign it, since he's not a professor/PI yet. Should I have him and the PI cosign it? Or just have the PI sign it (without the grad student's signature.. so just the PI's signature)?
