howdysir, American's do not need anyone like you to defend them. To attack someone based on their race is the lowest of the low. America stands for equality. And you my friend need an education first.

You are a class act, You say you don't mind coming to the states to get an education (which is the best secondary education in the world) but you will never live here? Who invited you? Please don't even come here for your education. Stay to the North.

I used to be a liberal too. Actually why hide it? I was a socialist while at Berkley for undergrad. Then I grew up. As my dad aways told me :" if you are 18 and not a socialist, you don't have a heart. If you are 30 and still a socialist, you've got no brains" .

I'm a pretty liberal guy when it comes to social issues. But don't get me going on fiscal issues. In America (and I bet it's the same or worse in Canada), 50% of the population pays 90% of the taxes. Do you know why? So liberals like you can have a voting base among the other 50%. Just wait until you are making real money and then we'll talk dude. I was pretty much an idealist when I was your age too. (you are in your 20s right? 23?)

Why are we talking about this stuff anyways. Lets get back to dentistry. I will not respond to anymore posts on this thread. It has gotten off topic and does not belong here.

Hey howdysir, no offence to you or anything but why should you even care dude? It's almost as if you feel insecure with your marks and stats. I mean dude you can pay for it without debt, that's a HUGE advantage. You decided to live in the USA, that's great! I'm a Canadian as well who would do the same. But dude you don't have to go on blantantly insulting people for their beliefs man.

Avingupta, you and I are cool with each other. I'm cool with ya, dude, you got in Dental school already, you don't need to prove anything. But whether you decide you wanna stay in the USA as opposed to Canada, hey man that's just personal preference and though you might have your reasons, whatever man, you're in dental school already, you will do what is best for yourself...but yeah I wouldn't blame ya for your comments since people are giving you flack for it, I wouldn't back down from them either and defend my ground as well.

I'm not perfect either, i talk **** just like everyone else, but it really hurts to see people who share the same goal and people who will be dentists argue with each other in a manner where issues such as race would come up. I mean conflict and disagreements are totally cool but when factors that shouldn't come up such as race are brought up, that defeats the purpose of having a debate that is based clearly on objective facts and weakens your arugments since a subjective variable (race) is brought up.

I'm not trying to be a peace keeper per se, i just don't want people getting mad over things that are unnecessary.


Just for the record, thisisit, yeah I hate it when my fellow Canadians diss up America when most of them havne't even lived a day in the USA or lived for a good period of time. I am Canadian but honestly I am indifferent, I just go where the opportunities are. Sure I'll say yeah I'm proud to be a Canadian but I wouldn't put one person over another just b/c they are Canadian...since the quality of being Canadian or American can't even be measured or observed or even defined except for some piece of paper saying you belong to either country.

But your attack on me coming down to the States for education and telling me to stay home in Canada was a bit harsh, because I have stated numerous times, including this thread, that I dont mind at all living temporarily in the States, but dont wanna raise a family there...here is my exact quote from page 2 of this thread:

I only bashed you for the parents thing because of the way you portrayed it in an arrogant manner...although you perhaps didnt intend it to be that way.....however, the racial comments were uncalled for, and because of that, I can not be so forgiving...however I will just ignore you from now on, but continue to reply to your posts, because I feel that other students who just lurk around have the same questions/concerns as your posts, but they do not post for some reason, but can still benefit from the answers.
