Anybody do this block ? Any tips and what has your experience been ? I do traditional infraclavicular block most of the time for arm surgery but this would be a nice alternative to supraclavicular for obese patients in which IC might be difficult.

Hey there,

I did a few of these in fellowship. Did not find it easy to locate, but if you did, the block is quite straightforward. For tips, reaching out to @jeffgadsden on X/Twitter or finding old threads may help.

Personally, will use curvilinear probe on these infraclav blocks >5cm deep and working on developing the RAPTIR approach as well. Or just go axillary if surgery is elbow or more distal. Best of luck!

I find this approach easier than infraclav since you get to avoid the steep angle and obstruction from the clavicle
