Hi All,

I am trying to decide where to apply this cycle and wanted some advice on something. I am from PA and planning on applying to Pitt. The problem is that their admission page says that they want B's or better in all prereq classes. I ended up getting 3 C's and 2 B-'s in classes like gen bio, gen chem, orgo, and stats, so I am wondering if that alone would be enough to disqualify me.

My overall and science GPAs are 3.6. I have a DAT AA 25, TS 25, and PAT 26. 100 hours shadowing with general dentist, and about 150 hours volunteer.

Would these lower prereq grades really set me apart? I made up later on by doing better in upper level science courses like anatomy, physiology, micro, biochem, and embryology.

Thanks!

I think your sGPA and DAT are really impressive even with those grades. I think you should be fine for most schools! Since pitt says that on their page, idk if you would get an interview/accepted...but I would try anyway
