Hey everyone I'm kind of stuck on a prompt for a medical internship:

What self-directed educational experience, research or independent scholastic work have you undertaken? What do you believe you have accomplished through this endeavor?

I'm not sure what to write about since I haven't don research yet or had any other internships.

Would tutoring work?

Could I have some suggestions? Thanks!

It is basically asking about what initiatives you've undertaken and what you learned and accomplished from them. Any accomplishments that you are particularly proud of?

What other ECs have you done besides tutoring? What did you accomplish from tutoring work, in your opinion?

If you've ever taught yourself a skill (cooking, programming, fixing a car, etc.) outside of a classroom, that would make a good answer, as long as you can write about why it was meaningful.

Would starting a floor hockey team outside of the school setting with some friends be something I could write about?

I've always been really good with music; always had an aptitude for it. I play sax, drums, and keyboard

It's a bit of a stretch, but if you can spin it in a way that sounds educational it could probably work.

I would go with this. Talk about learning to play a new instrument, how it challenged you, and what you learned about yourself.
