Hello!
I am a student in business school and we have a project that requires us to create product.
We chose dog biscuits made from the recovered grains spent during the beer making process at our local brewery.
A question I have is should we incorporate preservatives? If so what and how much?
We noticed that the FDA allows no inspection for GRAS (generally regarded as safe) products for pet foods. Our ingredient list is the barley, vegetable oil, wheat flour and peanut butter.
I guess what I need an opinion on is whether or not preservatives are necessary. We would like to not use them and instead use a shortened use by date instead. Any thoughts!?
Thanks
Joe
