hey guys, new to the forums here, thought I'd seek some advice about applying to the carribbean medical schools.

I graduated last year, and have been taking some time off to retake the MCAT (got a 22 last year). I will be taking it on July 17th, and I've been averaging 26-28 on my practice tests. I was a biology major with a chem minor, and I had a 3.4 cumulative gpa, and a 3.3 science gpa. I have done over 400 hours in hospital volunteering, 250 in research, and 150 in shadowing m.d. Over the past few weeks I've been looking at applying to med schools in the carribbean, because of my uncertainty tha tI can get into some allopathic schools. I'm looking at the big 4, and was hoping that some of you could add some advice into what are my chances of getting into any of these schools.

Also, I was wondering that if I apply around August, will I be too late for admission into the january class, or will I be too early for admission into the fall class. Thanks for the help!🙂

also, if i were to apply right now with a 22, would I have any chance? thanks

like I said on VMD.... your MCAT score is low, but you have ok GPA`s. Apply, the Jan term is less competitive and you might just make it. In the meantime do study for the MCAT, a higher score will not be bad either or.
