Counseling.
It seems like an often neglected aspect of our profession but it is nonetheless a necessary one. Further taking incentive away from developing good counseling skills is the lack of explicit compensation for performing duties related to counseling in our daily interactions with patients.
As someone who isn't naturally good at counseling others with their problems, I happened to chance upon this useful tool that I'd like to share with all of you.

This site allows people to go on anonymously and either "vent" or "listen" to people and their problems. Lately I've been going on as a "listener" and trying to apply counseling strategies and techniques to people with a variety of different problems (it seems like many people use it for relationship problems but it's still useful practice).
Perhaps you might find it to be a useful tool to help practice and refine your counseling skills?
