Hey there,

I am posting this question for a friend of mine because she doesn't want to start a profile and such...anyways. She has been accepted to Denver University and U. Minnesota and most likely will be at Loyola. How do these schools stack up to each other? Does reputation even matter that much? your input is greatly appreciated. thanks

I looked at the MS at loyola when I was looking at their PsyD.....I really liked the program, and the profs were very accessible. I sat in on a couple of classes and was pretty impressed by the profs.

I am an undergrad at the UofMN-Twin cities minoring in Psychology, and I will tell you that their psy program is GREAT. The profs are wonderful and great although class sizes can get big (for the undergrad program). The school is really research oriented based as it's striving to be one of the top 4 public research university in the nation so if research is what your friend likes...she/he will enjoy the UofMN. Also, I have a mentor finishing her Ph.D in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in working with multicultural patients, and she tells me that she really loves how the U has helped her gain knowledge, etc. So, it really depends on what your friend like. The Twin Cities is a great place to live and go to school. I've enjoy my time there as an undergrad. If you have more question, feel free to PM me.
