Countdown!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I have no doubt I'll be staring at that countdown on Monday and wondering why my e-mail hasn't arrived the moment it hits all zeros.

Why are being such a hater, OPD? As if you weren't a nervous wreck at this time in your life too.

😛

OPD was actually one of the lucky few that was BORN an attending.

Yup...it's true.

Out of the womb, on the wards the next day running rounds. The medical students still talk about how he actually had to excuse himself from rounds to put alcohol on his umbilical stump.

A real trooper, that OPD.

To OPD! Advocate of the patients, the people, and the parsimonious pontificators!

My mother always said this as well...

Guess that explains how I turned out to be such a slacker as a med student, and a loose cannon as a resident...:meanie:

You may rise, Sir Sazi. Come and join your liege on our quest.

See what a good job we did? We entertained the masses without them even knowing!

Here's a picture for good luck on the match.
(bonus points for the original video game reference...)

My husband said Halo. I was thinking Castlevania. That is a neat picture though 😀

Quest. I googled it because I have nothing better to do.

I did LOLdogs too, so what am I going to do tomorrow?

Zelda. Crap. that's what I was going to say but I doubted myself and googled. This match stress is clouding my judgment.

So what was the actual item that was given to Link in the video game?

freaking zelda......i LOVED zelda.

I believe it was called the NRSP: The National Resident Sword of Power. Used to cleave the binds that once held fledgling medical students to their postulating professors, and to slay the demons and evil-doers that plague the land of Residentium, named specifically Sleepicus from the land of Dormir, Baron Von Schizo from the county of Phrenia, and the most dreaded fiend of all: Callibrus - straight from the depths of the fiery Netherworld. YOU SHALL NOT SLEEP!

CRACK!!!!

out-freaking-standing! 😛

OK, guys. (guys meaning those not holding their breath until March 20th)

Give us something to do.

:scared::scared::scared::scared:

Take up an MMORPG. Nothing wastes time better than those.

You could join up on LOTRO. I'll give you some gold and a nice shiny sword and protect you from rabid bristletusks while you get your feet wet.

Also try i-am-bored.com

One of my favorite sites.

i've been playing call of duty 4 on xbox live with 3 other med school friends for 6-10 hours/day. it's a great way to kill time (and your opponent)!

I meant something cool. Us girl-types aren't as universally into the video game thing. How about something girlish?

I hear ya. I guess females define "cool" differently.

You could always try a few games out. I was a die hard WoW player but had to cancel a week before starting medical school. Good thing I did, I would never pass if I still played.

On another note, find a good series of books to read in order. My personal favorite is the Dr. Kay Scarpetta series written by Patricia Cornwell.

yeah, funny.....so when are you coming over to CLEAN MY OFFICE???!!!!

A 4th year doing scut work? The week before match day? What kind of mean attending are you?

I'm glad that I'm planning on staying right of the center!!

So now that Monday's almost here, has anyone started the more important countdown yet? you know for Thursday @ 1 EST or w/e it is 🙂

Good grief. 4000 minutes.

276 minutes

We're down to triple digits:clap:

Double digits...95 min...😀
