Hi all,

A few years ago I was in an accredited clinical Ph.D. program for two years before (due to personal/family reasons) I left, took a couple years off and reapplied. I'm now thankfully back on course and in a great clinical Ph.D. program in another state. My question is, when I go to apply for internship, how do I handle the clinical hours that were accrued at my prior institution? Do they still count? Anyone else ever been in a similar situation?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I think this may vary depending on your DCT, and what they're willing to sign off on. I had a classmate who was in the exact same boat. I remember him being quite upset because our DCT refused to sign off on hours he had earned at a previous program (which was APA accredited). He never made it to the internship application stage, but I imagine that these hours would go under other clinical experiences or something like that.
