When writing in your extracurriculars and talking about your manual dexterity proficiency, how much explanation do the schools want in the AADSAS application? It says to "describe" your activities that show you are proficient in manual dexterity, is a sentence or two enough, or is that too much? Also, do they want exact addresses for volunteer work when it asks for location of activity, or would it be enough to just put Oakland, Ca? Or should I leave off the Ca and just put the city? Also, i finished my fourth year of college but I have one more class to finish up my major, and I am taking it right now as a summer course. Technically I dont have my degree yet but I wont be attending school in Fall of 2004 either. Therefore, which portion of the application should I fill out, should I be filling out the "in progress" section instead of the "undergrad" section because I haven't completed my undergraduate education yet? Thank you so much for your input, and my instant messenger name is mikoli13 if you might want to speak with me directly. THANKS! Mike

Just compare it to writing a paper for one of your classes. Unless there is a required word count, professors don't mind if you can convey a strong message in a small amount of words. If it takes you only two sentences to portray your proficiency, then go for it!

Well, putting more information is better than less... right? I would play it safe and just put down the exact address. What do you have to lose?

Are you applying for the 2005 cycle? If so, you will have your degree by the type June 2005 rolls around, right? Don't fill out "in progress" if you have your degree already.

Hope that helps. PM if you need more help.

I don't think more information is always better. They aren't going to write all the organizations with which you served to verify your activity with them. They ask for "location" which to me infers something more approximate than a specific address.

As for the manuel dexterity question, I think that your application reviewer would appreciate it if you could say the most important information in the least amount of words. Lengthly responses with too many words are likely to get looked over.

I did, I think it is better to give extra info.
