I have a chance to take this course as an elective. But i'd rather not take it if it didnt count as bcpm. the tricky part is its not a bio department course, its an interdepartmental course lectured by a a really famous bio prof. would it count as bcpm?

Also as a general rule are natural science courses of this type included in BCPM? I'm pretty sure for osteopathic schools they are not sure about allo schools?

There is a comprehensive list on the AACOMAS website that tells you exactly what courses count for what. You might want to check Chocolate Bear's signature--lots of goodies there.

so would it fall under genetics [we are using a genetics textbook] even though its offered by a liberal arts dept.

I swung a genetics class taught in our English department into BCP no problem. However, mine was like an ethics sort of thing, and was pretty science intensive.
