For some of the schools like Midwestern, the require physio and anatomy. Are requirements such as these pretty strict? I'm not a bio major (i'm environmental science) so I couldn't take all of the bio classes offered since I didn't meet the requirements to take them. Should I bother applying to these schools? I'm going to call them anyways, but I want to know if anyone has heard anything about cases like these.

I have heard of some people on SDN "haggling" about such requirements with schools. These people were really high achievers, though, if I recall correctly. I bet it can happen, but only in special cases.

You need to take them, but you just need to finish them before you matriculate (if you get in). It will not hinder you from being accepted.

Do we need to show proof that we plan on completing all pre-reqs, by listing them in the future coursework on AADSAS, or is it assumed?

Pretty sure you have to do an academic update to show them.

I wouldn't expect schools to make exceptions to their requirements, be it coursework or LOEs.

Agreed. There's a reason these things are called requirements.

Yeah, I have heard of this too, but I remember concluding that the student really needs to be exceptional/have exceptional circumstances in order for something like this to work.

It doesn't necessarily have to be in your "planned courses". I was going to update mine during the academic update, but i got interviews before I had the chance. I just told the schools what I planned to take during my interview. You can get accepted without taking all the pre reqs. The schools just send you a Completion letter telling you what classes you need to finish before the school year starts.
