Course Retake / emailing AACOMAS

I want to retake a photography I class that I took in the past (sadly I got a D) My current institution only offers digital photography I and I am trying to find out if that would work.

I emailed aacomas@aacom.org to find out some information on equivalency of the retake and they never got back to me. Does anyone have a better email address? Has anyone had similar experiences with retake equivalencies?

I just got a reply from AACOMAS:

"We are unable to approve equivalencies in advance. You should be sure that the retake has essentially the same course description in the two catalogs. The retake must be at least as many semester hours as the course you want to replace."
