Course Retakes

Heres my situation - I took mircobiology at the University and recieved a C-, therefore this summer I will be retaking the course but at a DIFFERENT university . I had the assistant dean of my college approve the course so the credits transfer and had the head of the biology department sign off on the course saying it matched up correctly. My question is, will this mircobiology course i will be taking this summer at a different university count as a retake? Will it replace my old grade even though its at a different university? Also the course at my school is 4 credits and at the university I am taking it over the summer is on a tri-mester so its only going to transfer over as 3 credits i believe or something.

My understanding of AACOMAS is that if the course you are retaking at the different institution is equivalent to the course where you orginially took it, then it will count as an official repeat. However, if I were you, I would contact AACOM to make sure and because it looks like there might be some kind of credit differential, which could make them treat it differently.

well i will most likely only be applying to DO, so AACOMAS will replace the grade hopefully, but maybe I will call them just to double check, thanks.
