I took courses after graduating from the same university as a nondegree student, and they are shown as regular courses on my transcript and included in my overall GPA. When AMCAS calculates my GPA, would they also use those courses in my undergraduate GPA, or would it count as postbacc stuff?

Also unrelated question: I know that overseas volunteering is frowned upon and often considered tourism, but is it acceptable in my particular case? I am originally from an Asian country with some very undeveloped rural parts, and spent 3 months volunteering in one of those areas. Nothing strange like giving people injections.

There will be a separate box showing your post-bac GPA, and it will still be used to calculate overall undergrad GPA.

don’t know about your volunteer experience, I mean did you help people that were disadvantaged in some meaningful way?

Do you have volunteering in the US? That is important.

But would I list those courses as senior courses or postbacc? Since on my transcript they're still a part of my undergrad GPA and not something separate.

Yeah, it involved teaching in schools that have been running for years without any qualified teachers (like English teachers who can't read the alphabet).

Being on the same transcript is wholly irrelevant. Courses taken BEFORE your degree was awarded will be “regular” UG. UG Courses taken AFTER a degree was awarded will be postbacc. Both of these will be combined into a total or cumulative UG

Thank you. You mentioned that they will be included in the same UG GPA (though listed separately), but are the courses viewed any differently (like I believe summer courses are often considered not as good)? I just took more 4th year courses at the same school.
