I am filling out my Course Work section on my AMCAS and I am having trouble figuring out how to classify my speech fundamentals class. On the AMCAS instructions guide it says hearing and speech studies should be classified as Health Sciences by my college classifies it as a communication studies class. So should I mark it as Communications or Health Sciences on my application???

It really depends on the course description. Is the course learning how to make speeches? Or is it something to do with speech therapy?

It seems your college classified the course as a former. Hence, you should mark it as COMM classification.

Thanks for your help!! Im going to mark it as Communication

Was it a speech class in terms how to perform/write in a public speaking class? (communication)

Was it a course dealing with the medical, pathological, counseling or treatment of a speech impediment? (health science)

Thanks for the help, I think it is definitely communication!
