Does anyone have any good mnemonics for circle of willis infarcts/occlusions? Like mnemonics for wallenberg's or gerstmanns or any of the other HY lesions? Ive been getting killed on those questions. Thanks!

PS- I am not sure I ever really learned anything other than the anterior communicating artery was the most common site for Berry aneurysms. I am sure that this post was in no way useful to you.

Almost every Gerstmann's q I have seen so far involves the patient not being able to perform calculations. The lesion affects the Angular Gyrus, so the acalculia is kind of a dead give away. Other than that, just try to memorize (roughly) the regions that each artery supplies. Just know ACA, MCA, and PCA and you'll be fine. But, I don't think there is any easier way. Good luck!

I just try and remember what runs through where in the medulla and midbrain (for Wallenberg's and Weber's) and then I wing it if I get the pons. I am hoping for a picture on the question tho...

As far as Gerstmann's, acalculia is commonly seen, I believe, so that is what I remember also.

Just memorize the arterial territories and know that the middle cerebral artery is most likely to be involved in embolic events because of the large flow.
