Just took the first test without timing it, it took me about 1:15 and i got an 18, with a score of 60% on angles 😱!! Im curious as to how that score is for my first time exposure to PAT??

dude, i think thats pretty good for a first time pat.
i got like 16 on my very first try, i think
but the last time I did, i got 24 on cdp.

thats a really good improvement! Did you do anything special or did it just start to click after a while?

yea it started to click after taking all of kaplan's pat tests and then 4 cdp tests 🙂
at first, i was so clueless that i had to draw out all the folding shapes, cut them out, fold them myself , then try to visualize.
i had to practice at least twice a week so that my eyes get trained too
ur gonna gonna see the improvement u want after doing a lot of practice

You'll be fine. Use the first 3 CDP tests to learn from and then do the rest timed like the real test. The first time I started PAT, it took me 1.5 hours just to do top front end but it gets easier with practice. After test 6 or so, I recommend switching to Achiever's PAT section. Achiever's solutions really help you visualize the structures (without line counting) and their PAT really prepared me for the worst on my real DAT. After that, switch back to CDP, which will seem like cake in comparison.

i was actually having fun doing the problems, perhaps this will change once i start to time myself. i just took the first Crack Dat reading test timed, and i got an 18 on that too. I wonder how that fairs up with the real deal???

I think the questions are a bit harder than the actual DAT. To put it in perspective, I scored the following on CDR:
20 | 21 | 20 | 20 | 20 21 | 21 | 21 | 23 | 21
21 | 23 | 22 | 22 |

I ended up with a 24 on the actual DAT. Hope this helps!

nice, that is encouraging. The passages weren't that bad, i just have to control what i jot down while im reading, keep it CLEAN and SHORT
