Crack RC tests

How is the peformance on Crack RC indicative of scoring on the real DAT?
I've been getting between a 17 and a 19 on the crack.
How would that typically correspond on the real thing?
Any ideas?

By the way, I got the following scores last year, and I didn't get into a single school, so I have to retake the stupid DAT because of my RC and I'm affraid my other scores might drop.

it is hard for me to believe you did not get into a single school with those scores. I would say you are doing okay on RC. I got 20 on topscore's RC though.

I cannot believe it either.
I'm having the same trouble with RC, I got different scores on CDR. Started with 16 ended up with 19. I got 21 22 on topscore. My exam is in 4 weeks, and this RC section is killing me. I hope the real thing is not similar ro CDR

CDR is a bit tougher than the real DAT in my opinion. Top Score's reading sections are more like the actual DAT RC section.

I got 2 science passages and 1 historical passage. Since CDR has mostly historical passages and TopScore has mostly scientific passages, you'll be set with doing both of them.

thanks everyone. Basically I'm a non traditional student with an engineering degree (basically low GPA) going back to school after 12 years. Last year when I took the DAT, I had only been attending school for two quarters when I submitted my application. I was also working fulltime as an engineer, so no time to take more than 2 or sometimes 3 classes.

I'm starting to do a little bit better in the Crack RC now with 20's. I'm leaving TopScore for right before the real DAT to boost up my confidence a couple of days before the test.

Wish me luck. I'm really getting tired of this B.S. plus using up all my work vacation time for studying for this test.

That's good! And yeah, it's best to save TopScore for the added confidence boost plus DAT simulation under the same timing conditions, etc.

And yes, I studied for the DAT last summer and it ate up my vacation too, so I know how you feel in that respect. But that's a small price to pay for getting into dental school.

I got an average of around 21 on Crack RC, got a 21 on the real thing. The difficulty is on par, but the subject matter is more science and less humanities. I actually got distracted in the 15 minutes break since I was so overjoyed that the sciences and pat were easier than I expected. On my breakdown thread I have a link to an older thread where I posted up my CDR scores.
