Hello all,

I just started studying for the DAT. I have a lot of difficulty on the PAT section in particular. I was considering buying the program from Crack the DAT. Just wondering which package should I go for?

There is a King, Ace and Royal Flush edition? Which should I get?

Or should I get one of the total packages that includes other subjects too (Crack DAT Ultimate Package) for $390

Includes prep not only for Crack DAT PAT, but also for Math, Reading and Science

Thanks a lot!

I would not get the ultimate package. I would get Crack DAT PAT (Ace Edition/10 Test). Its worth the investment. I started off with a 12 on Test 1 (..I know..really bad🙁) and I am on Test 9 (as of today) and I got a 20. I've read that CRACK DAT is a little easier than the real deal so definitely follow up with DAT Bootcamp PAT (I've been averaging 18s so far; still have two more to go!). However, I would not start with DAT Bootcamp PAT until you have a good handle on the practice exams offered by CRACK DAT.

The best way to utilize Crack DAT is to really analyze the answers after each exam. BEFORE you start, watch these vids:
-Key Hole: (I believe there are two vids--watch BOTH!)
-Pattern Folding: (Watch both vids)
-Top Front End: http://datbootcamp.com/perceptual-ability-strategy/do-not-use-the-line-counting-method-on-dat-pat/
-Line of Symmetry: <---this works perfectly for me
-Angles: There are bunch of different techniques..research them but I've learned that you really have to develop your own way that makes sense

*Top Front was the hardest for me to visualize but I promise you, it will become easier with time and practice. Ari's tutorial was extremely helpful for me to start with...just stick with it and analyze your TFE answers on CRACK DAT with Ari's tutorial in minds. When you feel comfortable, go on to Bootcamp.

-I would use that money you were going to spend on the full subscription to CRACK DAT and buy a full subscription to DAT Bootcamp ($97) instead
since its A LOT cheaper and I've been reading that their science sections are a lot more comparable to the real exam. I have also been seeing that
DATqvault is also good for bio and oc/gc.
-Please note I haven't taken my DAT yet so your more than welcomed to take my advice sparingly but I have personally seen a lot of improvement in my
scores from when I first started a month and half ago to now.

Good luck studying and I hope this helps!🙂

Others have already given good responses.

I'd just like to pipe in and say that the PAT was VERY hard for me at first, but it got a lot easier. I remember looking at TFE questions and thinking to myself, "How in the world do people EVER get this stuff?!" It clicked as I went along, though. Just keep chugging along. 🙂
