Hey guys, I just took my Crack PAT test 5 and got a 21.
The break down was 15, 12, 10, 14, 15, 10.

I just want to say for those of who gave my advice on the hole punching when I was having trouble with it, I used the method of making the tic tac toe grid, and as you can see, it did wonders, and it also helped me fly right through it. So thank you very much to those who posted on my thread and gave me the much appreciated advice.

As you can also see, I got rocked on pattern folding and angles. I'm hoping those two are a bit easier on the real thing, especially the angles. I think my problem with the pattern folding is that I get excited about almost being done and kind of rush through it. I'll have to work on taking my time with that one. The wicked sick PAT tutorial was also helpful with the pattern folding too, so I'll use that advice next time. Anyone who has any advice for me, please feel free to post, but I wanted to say thanks for those who helped me last time!

Your welcome drzakisadiq,
I am happy that I could help. Like you I got a 21 on my fifth crack pat and after that been getting 21 on all of them and actually got a 23 on test 9. Keep it up and kill the real thing.🙂

I just wanted to say thank you as well for the hole punching advice. I was horrible and getting 5-9/15 on all the crack dat tests. Well I tried the grid method and although it took a little practice before I got good at it, I just got 14/15 on it as well as 15/15 on TFE which I also used to be horrible at. 23 on crack dat test 5! YAY!!!!

Also, I found it helped me to skip around on the PAT and do the things I can do quickest first to get them out of the way and be able to focus later on the things that are tougher for me. I have been going keyhole, angles, cubes, pattern folding. Then I go back and do the TFE and hole punching. I even had 6 minutes left on my last crack dat test.

what is the hole punching advice that you guys are talking about? i have trouble with this as well as the pattern folding for those rectangular boxes & cubes :\

thankss

1st Crack Pat = 18 :\

Step 1: look for symetry
Step 2: draw a 4x4 grid and make dots where holes should be as you unfold the paper. Once the paper is fully unfolded you will see exactly what the answer should look like on your grid.

That is the gist of it. If you need a detailed explanation go back and check the old threads where people gave a detailed explanation of how to approach these.
