hi i'm interested in craniofacial surgery.. can anyone give me some details/info (besides what's listed on the AAFPRS website) about SUNY Upstate and UC Davis? Are there other ones that offer craniofacial opportunities? Do these programs also train you in microvascular (I heard at Upstate you get to do gracilis?)

Any info would be appreciated! Thx

I think MUSC, arkansas, and U Minnesota also do craniofacial, I'm not sure how much is resident vs fellow though

Thank you! I think those programs do some cleft work through a pediatric oto fellowship.. I wanted to get specifics on UC Davis versus Upstate? Does anyone -especially if you interviewed at both programs- have any specific info on these programs or how they might compare in terms of how much cf/cleft work is done? Pros and cons of each program? Thanks! 🙂

Sorry, OP: no answers for you.

But I do have some questions: I train at an institution where craniofacial surgery is very much Plastic Surgery-dominated, and it would seem that most institutions around the country are this way. Nevertheless, would you guys say that a craniofacial fellowship through ENT is equivalent to a PSU experience? Moreover, because there's a paucity of institutions where ENT does the craniofacial work, how limited are the employment opportunities after fellowship if you did an ENT residency? I would absolutely love to do clefts, craniosynostosis surgeries, etc., but only if it's realistic.

Thanks
