I hope you didn't take my joke seriously.

I don't think one typo is in any way going to affect your application. Even if it does get noticed (it might not), the people reading your application know that these things happen. We're all bound to make a small error or two somewhere.

Now if someone WROTE IN ALL CAPS oR LiKe tHiS or had many, many obvious typos/grammatical errors on their application, I think it would look unprofessional.
