i just thought i would mention the fact that there are now over 120 replys to the previous post, most of which are nonsense! i am just going to congratulate everyone who is trying to become a doctor, that is a dificult enough goal. however, some of the commentary in reply to "Dr. Truth" is not typical of the professionalism that patients will want to see in their care takers... just a thought

As you are still a novice (only 6 posts) in the ways of the Holy Medical Student Lounge. Let me be the first to tell you to Lighten Up!. As a former and future patient myself (aren't we all?)for many years to come. I would rather have a competent yet colorful doctor than a stiff-ass emotionless yet competent statue who wouldn't understand a joke if it bit him/her in the gluteus maximus.

great, but so is the HUMANITY, which is
what medicine is about ultimately. Greg, if

There is a very easy solution to avoiding the "juvenile behavior" of some on this site. DONT OPEN THE SILLY STRING! I like seeing what's going on in the world of "Ryan, Can You Handle the Truth?", but if I thought it was dumb I would quit looking in it. It seems like a very easy solution. People who are having a good time can keep it up, and if you are only intersted in serious material just stay away from those posts. What are you waiting for some admission tips to pop up in the DoctorTruth beat down thread?
