You mentioned an Arkansas City with 15,000 in population. Are you talking about Hot Springs Village or Bella Vista? I scoured the area around the village to start a pharmacy in 90's... but never pulled the trigger because I got into other business. I still spend one weekend a month in the village golfing..

Oh, I replied saying Bella Vista. You know, it would have been fine if you PMed me. I've been to Hot Springs Village like once. I used to go to high school in Hot Springs National Park.

I too was intrigued by Stavi's choice to make this a public conversation. But he's always up to something

I haven't been to Bella Vista even though both Village and Vista are cooper development. I remember when UAMS graduated their first PharmD class like 94... my god, that class thought they were gods.. I precepted UAMS kids for some years. I would think Little Rock hospitals are a tough market for pharmacists now...even retail... but I guess you can always go work in Pine Bluff.. or Dumas... or St. Helena..

Why? What's so secret about cities in Arkansas.. I love Hot Springs Village....that's where I'm going to semi retire. It has 10 golf courses and the best kept secret in the US.

Or maybe out of state? I'm considering doing that if I can even find a position. I've started looking into residencies in different areas since we have a club at school for a school chapter of ASHP. At the MRM for APhA-ASP, I talked to one person from OU and got flyers for different PGY1 and PGY2 residencies. People in Oklahoma seemed nice, so I might consider going there to do my residency if I'm still interested later.

Snow? Psssh lol Although it's possible since we did have snow in conway last year.

Dood. I moved out Little Rock... when I was sliding around on ice and my car was going sideways on I-430 up near Rodney Parham.. I said forget this...packed up and moved to CA.

Dang, I've never had my car go sideways from the snow.

Last year, I think I got lucky because it started snowing like crazy after I had driven home when I was done with my last final. After that day, there was even more snowing, and people at my school were still taking finals. Some people who were from Nashville, Dallas, St. Louis, and other areas couldn't drive home for few days or even fly home, while I got to sit at home and while not worrying about finals and watching TV

I wonder if that could happen again this year.

thank you for your thoughtful leads...I'm not sure the trip was planned to be an outdoorsy adventurous type, though...🙂

What are you going to be doing indoors? Whatever it is..couldn't you do that at home?

No, not snow. It was the ice storm of 2003 or 2002.

I think I remember that. I was sitting in my school bus on the way to school one morning. One of the hills on one neighborhood near Crystal Hill was frozen when our bus driver tried to get over it to pick up a girl living on the other side. On the first attempt, our bus was slipping on the ground, so we couldn't get up the hill. But on our second or third attempt, we got over the hill and to school. I remember people complaining that day that Little Rock schools were opening but other schools in Pulaski county were closed  Then later in my 2nd period class, I found out from my teacher who said "if you live in pulaski county and not live in Little Rock, you would not have been counted absent, if you didn't show up today" 👎 And of course many of us didn't know and showed up.

I don't think we have had weather as bad as that since then.

*shaking my head* 🙄
I don't know. Do you have some good ideas on what to do indoors in AR? I'm sure you do....and i'm sure you do them all the time.

Actually, the city shut down for several days because Ice damaged a lot of trees and powerlines. I couldn't get up my driveway...so my car sat outside and got covered in ice. It snowed and iced pretty badly in mid 90's..I remember hauling pharmacy employees back and forth in my 4X4..

Good! I'm scared of ice.

Indoors as in stay at someone's house and spend time there? Or just go to some place like a bowling alley or the movies where you stay inside the building until you're done?

I don't know...my only point was that it seems too cold to do too much outside. What is the weather like right now?

Depends on the part of the state. But around little rock it's 30-50 this weekend.

guess what? it was 25-30 today! and cold enough to have some ice on the car windows 👎 but the roads were not frozen though. It seems like we might get snow around Christmas if this keeps up

I actually miss getting snow around December in Arkansas.

It actually snowed here in Birmingham last night, for the first time since fall. Not enough to accumulate on the roads, though.
