Hi everyone!

I've been looking for an app (MAC or PC) that allows me to create amazing medical lectures (not powerpoint or something else). So basically an app that has integrated medical images, animations etc, and allows me to create my own lectures (nicely organized, high yield, with images etc).
I hope I've been clear enough guys.

let me give an example of what I meant by saying integrated medical images or so.

for example I'd like to explain how insulin is secreted by Beta cells of Pancreas to the bloodstream and later on how insulin acts on the periphery. What this app could provide me is a simplified beta cell and an artery and a peripheral tissue ( e.g. muscle cell) , so I could explain the process not just by writing some letters but rather by images that would make studying more efficient. Of course I will definitely write in short about the process, but not too much writing.

why dont you just locate an image online, insert it into powerpoint and then do it....

again, there's no reason for an app like this to exist. why would they catalog all the images and etc and then not make anything of it.

So you think someone built this huge database of images and then, instead of actually creating a resource out of it themselves, they just left it as a huge database for others to use?

People are acting like this is a dumb idea, I actually think it would be really smart... Imagine if there was some sort of software that had a ton of images that you could search for and incorporate it into your own lecture. I've wanted to find something like this to use as a study aid. I think I could remember the information so well if I could make my own "lectures" and pretend to "teach" them to somebody. I think the best way to learn is to teach and it's hard to do that in medical school.

I don't think anything like this exists, but if you created it, I think you'd be doing pretty well.

Edit-- I'm also curious what kind of software that Dr. Sattar uses in his path videos (when he's writing out concepts, etc.)

What we're saying is, it would be a dumb thing to create.. hence why it doesn't exist.

it's like asking " why doesn't someone build a car where you have to tighten 5 bolts" and then its good to go and you can say you built a car. theres no logical reason to do the ground-work for making a collection of images, unless you're going to use them yourself.

Yes sir that's exactly why I want this app so badly,
and I would say it's been a little bit misunderstood by the other guys because I'm not actually asking for a ton of database just some simplified images or sketches,

I'd check out Versal, which just came out of beta and announced a partnership with Wolfram Research. It doesn't look ready right now for what you want to do, but seems it might be in the near future. Not sure how much Wolfram stuff will be integrated, but there is medical imaging and lots of bio tools.
