Any recommendations for a good credentialing company that can get you on most commercial panels at good rates? I know this may be an absurd question as everyone would want to use them, but there's a lot of people facing issues getting on panels in major cities, BCBS/United and others saying panels are closed or offering a fraction of Medicare rates. As a solo Doctor looking into opening my own practice practice, please let me know of any good companies that aren't too expensive and are pretty solid.

We used one which was pretty good, a lot better than MC, but then looked into clinically integrated network (CIN) programs. Every hospital system here has one. You join, you do your own billing, but your contract is the HOPD's contract, so their rates. Really no strings attached other than hospital sees your billing data. Surgeons have to join the call roster, do a certain number of cases at the hospital, but pain is relatively no strings. Downside is if hospital cancels contract with insurer or does start asking for new requirements and you want out, you have to then complete the contracting process yourself before you pull out.
