hello guys,

i just got couple questions that don't really relate to dental 🙁 but yeah please help me 😳

my situation is that i transferred to a university from a community college after couple years. i know that the credits from CC do count towards my degree obtaining at the university, but how does it works in terms of GPA? I mean i understand that gpa don't go over to the new school, what i mean is when i graduate with a bachelors, how will they determine my GPA. how will they put it on my degree certification??

thank you guys, any reply would be greatly appreciated.

happy early valentine's day! 😍

Far as I know

your GPA at the graduation will be only reflecting your GPA you earned from that university.
The CC credit is just a credit. its GPA doesn't add up to ur university GPA.
but it is good to have good CC GPA because some school will take CC credit and they REQUIRE candidates to provide EVERY transcripts from every place you take classes (study abroad, cc, university, summer class, not high school but above included)

so...if you have a good GPA from CC that means nothing when you calculate ur GPA from new school.

I hope this helped. (I got some credits transferred from high school and cc - they won't considered it for GPA calculation ever)

I went to a Community College for 4 years. I transferred to a 4 year university, and your GPA "restarts" at a new school.......except on AADSAS. AADSAS will calculate every single credit to compute your calculated gpa. I did about a 3.9 at the 4 year college, and because I did less well at the community college, it also was calculated and I had a lower AADSAS GPA. So, I will graduate my 4 year with a 3.9, but my AADSAS thinks I have a 3.42-3.6.

oh, thank you so much for the sweet replies!!

so when it's time for me to apply to dental school, which calculated GPA should i put on my application? the overall GPA (CC+University combined) or just the university GPA (which appears on my bachelors degree)?

thank you so much again. i really appreciate it.
