Hey,

Creighton's website says they need 2 LORs from science profs and 1 LOR from a non-science prof. Pitt's website says they need 3 LORs from science profs.

Just wondering how strict you think these requirements are? I only have 3 LORs - 2 from science profs and one from a dentist. Should I apply anyway? Thanks!

when i called creighton to ask about this, they said what is most important is that they get 3 letters. the 2 science, 1 non-science is a recommendation

Pitt seems more strict about that. I remember calling them a while back and getting an answer along the lines of the application being considered incomplete if that requirement is not met. :s:s

When I called Pittsburgh, they referred to this rule existing in an "ideal, perfect world" and they will of course still review my application. Call the school personally to give yourself the ultimate peace of mind.

Did anyone get application complete confirmation email from Creighton?
I applied to Creighton and did get aadsas received confirmation and has under review on portal, but I have not get complete confirmation from Creighton..... Now I am worried since I did not have a non-science professor LOR...

I called Pitt around 3 months ago to ask specifically ask about this requirement, and the lady on the phone told me it was strict and that I wouldn't be 'application complete' without it. Even if they made an exception, I doubt they'd do it for OOS students anyways.

I don't have a non-science letter either, but I called Monday and she said my app is complete and under review.

When I spoke to a student alumni from Creighton.... he told me this:

"If you're serious about going to Creighton, then YES you do NEED to have that LOR from a non-science. If you don't get one, it will look like you checked the Creighton box on the application rather than researching the school and finding out what you actually need from their applicants."

And the advice has been good, because I was offered an interview.

I would say, get a non-science one.

Thanks for all the info, I called this morning and the lady explicitly and clearly said it would be ideal but not necessary
