creighton interviewees

If flying/driving and staying overnight. What hotels are you looking at staying in?

This is a little off topic, but do we have to schedule our own interviews at Creighton or do we get an invitation? I have heard that Creighton doesn't give invites but we are suppose to call and make an interview? Is this true, I figure the adcoms would be very busy if all 3000 wanted to interview. If anyone knows for sure, can they clarify? thanks so much and good luck to everyone! :luck:

i received email inviting me to schedule interview. Some other thread on here also said that they changed policy this cycle and had interview invites. Not exactly positive though

Last cycle you had to be invited to interview before around January 1st, if I remember right, and then after that you could schedule one yourself. So most, if not all, of their acceptances went to people they invited.

I interviewed there last year and stayed at the best western seville. It is about two block away from the dental school so I just walked to my interview. They also have a creighton/educational discount (about $60, if i remember correctly) so make sure you tell them you are there for an interview and they have a free shuttle that you can schedule to pick you up and bring you back to the airport. The hotel is not downtown, so if you want to stay downtown and experience omaha then I wouldn't choose this one, but if you want to walk to the interview and campus, its perfect.

I am reapply and have not received an interview from creighton yet and I am getting worried. I was placed on the alternate list last cycle and then I made it onto the active alternate list of a final 30 people, do you guys think I should be worried or do they still have a lot of interviews to hand out? Thanks

I scheduled an interview two cycles ago, did not recieve one last cycle, and made it onto the active alternate list. So they may not even need to interview you again.

Thanks for the input, I hadn't really thought about that scenario, but it makes sense. Did you contact the school at all last year and find out why they didn't interview you or anything like that?

I don't have any hotels to recommend but you might try priceline.com to find a good deal. I just used it for Glendale,Az and got a room for $30 (and that was my first bid, I'll go lower next time). From what I can see on the net and googlemaps, it's not a crack-house either. I'd imagine Omaha would have some cut-rate deals on that site too. Not a lot of crowds there in the Fall (or most of the rest of the year!). But, if you need your hotel to be close to the school (i.e. no rental car) don't risk it cause you could end up on the wrong side of town.

If anyone needs to know, directions or where something is located in omaha let me know, it is my home town.

$30 for a room in glendale? i'm assuming for the midwestern interview, right? This gives me good food for thought. I'm going to rent a car and drive from socal, and i'm probably going to put a bit in on priceline. thanks for the info!

sorry, mwu is off topic.

Yes, and now that I look closer at my reservation, it's actually in Peoria. (I don't know the area well). Some place called Extended Stay America??? Never heard of it but it's just a few miles from the school.
Also FYI, anyone flying from Socal to NE, check out Express Jet for flights. They have direct flights from Ontario to Omaha and are cheap. Mine was ~$200.

I did contact them to see if it would beneficial to schedule another interview. They said it wasn't necessary and wouldn't add anything to my application or eligibility.

Hey guys, I'm staying at the Best Western Seville near campus. Does anyone know how to get from the airport to the hotel by public transportation? Anyway good luck to everyone (especially those re-apps like me!)

Call the hotel, they have a free shuttle that can pick you up and bring you back to the airport. You just have to let them know when you are flying in, I did this last year when I stayed there
