is there anything special about creighton? what is their focus? for those of you who interviewed there.
thanx

Since I wasnt getting interviews left and right like others I called and set up an interview with Creighton. I was really glad I did cause the school turned out to be really great. I think the best thing about the school was the clinical approach they have. There are no specialty schools there so all the work that would normally go to a specialty student is done by the regular students, which allows alot more opportunity. The school has you dress in shirt and tie each day (skirts for the ladies) and I think it helps keep the environment professional, they dont have a corner on the technology for sure but are looking to do improvements in the near future.

Creighton is a private Jesuit school, however, in my visit there I saw little influence by religion. It never came up in my interview. As was stated earlier, they don't have any specialty programs, so you get to do more things in the clinic. I would say that their strength is their large patient pool that you have to work with. Students there say that you can see any type of case that you want. Some students hinted to me that the class room lectures were a little lacking. Omaha is a nice place to live. Although it is a bit cold this time of year.
