We just had to fight in WV to get chronic pain out of the language of a CRNA bill that talked about anesthesia but also added chronic pain.

We won and got it out.

This won’t be just WV.

a) A certified registered nurse anesthetist may administer anesthesia and engage in chronic pain practice in cooperation with a physician, dentist, or podiatrist when providing the anesthesia or chronic pain services

This was in the bill.

CRNAs are poised to get independent practice in Florida. I’m sure it will extend to interventional pain. Some docs are about to lose their lucrative PI gigs.
