Like most academic departments, my residency provides travel funds to present at national conferences.

Considering MDapplicants is an interesting snapshot of the spectrum of premedical applications, there's got to be an interesting poster/survey/etc. in there somewhere. Heck, LCS at MGH made Scutwork into a poster:

Any ideas on how I could turn my little hobby into a research poster or two?

And I promise that redesign is coming soon: "With the short week next week we are targeting July 8th to have the working site to you for approval."

They have lied to me before, however.

Something about comparing MDApps data with AAMC data? Are self reported online databases representative of the true applicant pool?

"This site indexes 10771 profiles, with an average overall GPA of 3.62 and an average MCAT score of 31.9."

I think I know the answer to that. 😉

I can always use a surveymonkey to poll site visitors to collect more data.

maybe you could pick a few schools (maybe based on competitiveness of admission to get a decent spread or focus on one level or selectivity) and try and see whether applying/being complete early/late has a correlation with applicant outcomes [for individuals with similar numerical stats or strengths in application if you can make people fill out a survey and rate relative strength/commitment level of ECs].

or instead of decision outcomes you can focus on something like interview invites
