Crown = Denture?

I'm only 2 months into school and writing a paper. Does a crown qualify as a "fixed partial denture" or does it have to be more than just one tooth? Quick replies appreciated.

A bridge qualifies, is that the only thing?

A fixed partial denture is a bridge, a crown is not replacing a missing tooth rather adding full coverage to an existing tooth.
