Nope, I was so tired I fell asleep. Plus i didn't want to block his light. I did wake up in time to have him show me the pre-filled cavity and what was left of my once mighty molar. Then i went back to sleep. 😴

Great dentist!

#2 can be a biznatch to get prepped for a crown. All of the second molars can be, for that matter. On the back side you pretty much just have to take a couple slices out of the tooth and trust you've got a usable surface. 🙂 Congrats on surviving your appointment. 😀

i had a mini-argument with the dad about how he justifies charging upwards of 1500 for a root canal, but he thinks thats how much his time is worth,or some nonsense😱

Aren't you glad you are going to be a dentist? 😀

I started my first maxillary molar endo yesterday on #15. 2 hours of sweat and tears later I FINALLY got four canals opened up to a #30 file. I place CaOH and temporized but probably would have needed ANOTHER 2 hours to take the endo to completion.

I may charge twice what your dad does just so I never have to do another one.

Or you can always refer them to an endodontist....and handle the light stuff yourself 😉

Four hours to obturate an upper molar? For your first one, that's not too shabby.

schwing..more business for us😀
Oh ur Dad's and Endodontist? I was about to say the dentists that I shadowed charged pretty much $700-$900 for endo.

yeh,but he doesnt do the insurance thing for the most part, and doesnt accept medicaid/care,so he gets pts that actually willing to pay,for the most part, out of pocket. they do work with dental financing companies though...ummm carecredit and something else.
